Will smith is a superstar actor, producer, rapper and songwriter, who has been labelled the most powerful actor in Hollywood by news week, with Forbes calling him the most bankable star worldwide.
When he got the part for the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Smith had one goal, “To become the biggest movie star in the world.”
Within years, Will went from being almost bankrupt to transforming himself into one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. He is the only actor to have eight consecutive films gross over $100 million in the American box office, and eleven consecutive films gross over $150 million worldwide.
He has portrayed real life heroes such as Muhammed Ali in a film about his life, and he played the inspirational Chris Gardner in The Pursuit of Happiness, earning himself Academy Award nominations for both.
Will Smith's 6 rules of life
“We didn't grow up with the sense that where we were was where we were gonna be. You know we grew up with the sense that where we were almost didn't matter, because we were becoming something greater.”
“I want to represent an idea. I want to represent possibilities. I want to represent magic right - that you're in a universe and 2+2=4. 2+2 only equals 4 only if you accept that 2+2=4. I want to represent the idea that you really can make what you want, one of my favourite books is the alchemist - and I just believe that, I believe that I can create whatever I want to create.”
The first step, before anybody else in the world believes it, is you have to believe it. There's no reason to have a plan B because it distracts from plan A. I think that there's a certain delusional quality that all successful people have to have. You have to believe that something different than what has happened for the past 50 million years of history, you have to believe that something different can happen.”

“The only thing that I see that is distinctly different about me is - I'm not afraid to die on a treadmill. You might have more talent than me, you might be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me you might be all of those things you got it on me in 9 categories. But if we get on the treadmill together there's two things - you're getting off first, or I'm going to die. It's really that simple.”
“You don't try to build a wall, you don't set out to build a wall. You don't say I'm gonna build the biggest baddest wall that's ever been built, you don’t start there. You say, I'm gonna lay this brick, as perfectly as a brick can be laid, and you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall. It's difficult to take the first step when you look how big the task is. The task is never huge to me, it's always one brick.”
“I want to do good. I want the world to be better because I was here. I want my life, I want my work, my family, I want it to mean something. It's like if you are not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time. Your life will become better by making other lives better.”
“No matter where you are right now, no matter where you have been, or what you have accomplished, you have the power to achieve more and empower more people in the process”.
